Welcome to The Waldo County YMCA

The Waldo County YMCA has programs and activities for people of all ages and abilities. General group and specialty fitness classes are available as well as a wide selection of youth and adult sports programs. The facility includes The Tom & Sally Savage Pool Complex, an indoor walk/jog track, air-conditioned fitness center and wellness/aerobic classroom, gymnasium, teen room, and family friendly shower and changing facilities.

It is the policy of the Waldo County YMCA to provide quality programs to all. No one is ever turned away from the YMCA due to inability to pay. Financial Aid applications are available upon request.

Come and learn the lifesaving skills of CPR and First Aid. You have the power to save a life. 80% of victims of sudden cardiac arrest collapse at home, the person you save may be someone you love.

First Aid Date: Mar. 22 Time: 5 - 7:30 p.m.

AARP Tax Assistance at the Waldo County YMCA

The Waldo County YMCA will, once again, host FREE Tax Help. This service is for taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those ages 60 and older. Representatives from the AARP Tax-Aide will be available for appointments on Mondays and Tuesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. This service will run from February 6 through April 9.

To make an appointment, beginning January 23, please call the YMCA at 338-4598 or stop by at the front desk. For any additional questions, please call Pat Snyder at 567-3137.

Please bring the following with you when you come:
• copy of last year’s income tax return(s)
• W-2 forms from each employer
• unemployment compensation statements
• SSA-1099 form if you were paid Social Security benefits
• all 1099 forms (1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B, etc.) showing interest and/or dividends and documentation showing original purchase price of sold assets
• 1099-misc. showing any miscellaneous income
• 1099-R form if you received a pension or annuity
• all forms indicating federal income tax paid
• dependent care provider information (name, employer, ID, Social Security number)
• all receipts or canceled checks if itemizing deductions
• Social Security cards or other official documentation for yourself and all dependents.
