Y STRONG! a bridge to the future

Since 1977, the Waldo County YMCA has brought our community together for health and wellness. As a "Y without walls," we utilized space generously provided by local organizations, schools, cities, and towns to run childcare, camps, and programs. Today we thrive in our 45,000 square foot facility which has proven to be “a great place to belong”. Thousands of children and adults have learned to swim, made friends at summer camp, participated in a fitness class, found adventure on a bus trip, played sports, attended preschool and after-school programs, walked over from the Troy Howard Middle School for Teen Time, eaten a nutritious meal while making new friends, attended Halloween at the Y, and so much more.

The pandemic has hit us hard but with your help, together we can weather this storm and come back stronger than ever to continue our positive impact on Waldo County through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Please consider a donation today.

Enjoy the Y through the years below and if you have any photos you would like to share please send them to Marketing Director Amanda Cunningham at acunningham@waldocountyymca.org.

We all have a Y story and we want to share them!
