Click here for Our before and aftercare program is for children in grades PreKindergarten - 5. We open at 7:00 a.m. and children are picked up by the bus at 8:30 and brought to school. At 3:30 the buses drop the kids back off for an afternoon of fun. Our program provides a safe, fun, nurturing place for kids to go after school. Our staff is well trained, fun and energetic. Kids in our after school program are offered a variety of things to do daily. An after school snack is provided as well. Our program is open until 6:00 p.m. We
welcome PreK students to the Activity offerings
CATCH is a national program in collaboration with Anthem Blue Cross. CATCH brings healthy activity to the Waldo County YMCA after-school program for children in grades PreK-5. Catch is composed of nutrition education materials (including snack activities) and a physical activity component. The program is designed with a format that makes it easy for staff to implement and is enjoyable for all. Cooking Club Children learn not only how to prepare new dishes that they can share with their families, but how to clean up in the kitchen after the cooking is done! They have made Turkey Chili, salsa, homemade Carmel apples, wheat pizza with a pumpkin pizza sauce and turkey pepperoni to name a few... Crafty Club Children will learn a new craft weekly, lots of fun with painting, drawing and beading. Dodge Ball Club
Kids are able to play their favorite game once a week and are able to
perfect their skills in dodge ball. Game on!!!! Homework Club Children are able to complete their homework at the Y, working for up to 1 hour per weekday. In addition to helping parents, the children earn Y-bucks which are used at a childcare auction that we have every 4 - 5 months. Passport Pals Club
Gives a chance to learn about new countries. Local guest speakers come
in and share their experiences from their travels around the world. We
also make snacks, play games, do arts & crafts and learn new songs
from the country we’re learning about each month. Additional Care Days We also offer care on snow days, early release days, in-service days and school vacation weeks. If you require care during vacation weeks we must have your registration and payment two weeks prior to the vacation week. This allows time to staff properly and plan activities. Please call for more information. Important Dates in Childcare to remember September 5 - Labor Day Little Learners Preschool We
