2012 Youth Swim Lessons Thunder / Lightning ![]() Private YOUTH Swim Lessons Customizable lessons that provide a one-on-one experience with an instructor. Week day or weekend lessons available. Please Schedule a private lesson with Aquatics Coordinator: Stephanie Thostenson: ypool@waldocountyymca.org Fee: $17 per ½-hour lesson for Annual Members $23 per ½-hour lesson for 3-Month and Non-Members Youth Swim Lessons Lessons are developmentally appropriate for children and adults, and will teach the participant how to swim skillfully and safely. The pre-requisite for each level is the successful demonstration of skills from the preceding level, except for Level 1, which has no pre-requisites. Each level includes water safety topics. (*NOTE: Classes are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment of 4 students is not met.) * Caps and goggles are highly recommended for all swim classes* Parent and Child Aquatics Fee: $35 Annual Members / $60 3-Month & Non-Members AGES: 6 months to 3 years AND a parent, grandparent, or other caregiver. Provides experiences and activities to learn ways to safely enter and exit the water, submerge the mouth, nose, and eyes, glide on the front and back with assistance, and much more!Once a week for 7 weeks, choose Monday or Saturday.

is 6, minimum is 3. Preschool Aquatics AGES: 3 -5 years old. Helps children orient to the aquatic
environment and, with practice, gain greater independence and comfort
in and around water. Learn how to change positions in the water, alternate
arm and leg action while floating on their front and back, learn the principles
of treading water, and bob in the water. Each level builds on the one
before. A child who completes Preschool Aquatics Levels 1 or 2, and is
6 years old, may enroll in the next level of Preschool Aquatics or move
on to the Learn-to-Swim Level 2. A child who completes Preschool Aquatics
Level 3 may enroll in Learn-to-Swim Level 3.
