Current Openings
Aquatic Maintenance Position
Come Join our team! The applicant chosen for this position will work closely
with our Aquatic staff under the supervision of our Aquatics Director.
Applicant will have a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Responsibilities
will be to assist in pool mechanical operations and upkeep
of our three pool complex including minor repairs, deck cleaning and equipment
maintenance. Applicant will undergo training to become an American Red
Cross Lifeguard and become a Certified Pool Operator by the National Swimming
Pool Foundation. Upon completion of certifications this position will
be 25-34 hours per week.
FITNESS INSTRUCTOR - This
is a VOLUNTEER
opportunity!!
Are you enthusiastic and energetic? The Waldo County YMCA has a
position on our team for you! We are looking for a part-time fitness instructor
with experience to teach group classes. For more information see Tamera
Blades at the YMCA.
Lifeguards
If you want to help people safely enjoy the water, then this job could
be right for you. Certification in lifeguard, CPR and
AED preferred. Applications are available at the front desk. No calls
please. We are currently seeking
lifeguards for mornings, mid-afternoon and evening shifts.
Aqua Aerobic Instructors
The Waldo County YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic fitness
instructor to teach at the Tom & Sally Savage Pool Complex. Instructor
would be responsible for teaching water exercise classes for various age
levels and abilities. Certification is desired but not required. Applications
are available at the front desk. No calls please. Class openings include:
Wednesdays 8:30 - 9:30 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Water Safety Instructors
If you hold a current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
certification and you would like to teach swim lessons at
the Waldo County YMCA, please consider filling out an application. Applications
are available at the front desk. No calls please. Here’s what you’ll
be able to teach as a Water Safety Instructor:
• Learn-to-Swim (Levels 1-6)
• Parent and Child Aquatics
• Water Safety Presentations
